This debut by Chelsea Cain is so scary and in your face that I had to Google the author to find out more about the person who could write a book that is so scary and depressing. I can't wait to read her latest book called Sweetheart, which picks up where the first one left off.

This touching story focuses on another dark mark in U.S. history, the segregation of citizens in Hawaii who contracted leprosy. I didn't realize how much I liked this book until I finished it.

If you've ever heard stories about "changelings" then you will probably enjoy this book. It's a magical, mystical thriller about love, lost and wanting to belong.

I don't like Stephen King's books and after reading that his son had written a book that would remind readers of his father(King), I had no interest in reading this book. But, I was desperate for something to read and am so glad that I picked up this book. This book is a creepy thriller. Read this around Halloween and/or under the covers late at night with a flashlight.

This book as well as "The Wild Girl" are two books that focus on the treatment of women and native americans in U.S. history. Both offer a touching, funny glimpse of how an underrepresented group can have such an impact on so society.

Everyone should read this book, it's interesting, shocking and funny. As people become increasingly concerned about the food they eat, they can't help but experience the omnivore's dilemma.

I have read every book written by Erik Larson and they're all fantastic. Isaac's Storm chronicles the days before what was at the time the worst hurricane in history to hit the United States. I also recommend: Thunderstruck, The Devil in the White City. Lethal Passage: The Story of a Gun
