I love Barbara Kingsolver. She is honest, compassionate and wise. This book of essays let you into her life and her loves. I wish I had was eloquent enough to put my thoughts to paper as she has.
A great argument in favor of marriage equality. A fascinating read full of ideas on how to approach the topic with non-believers. Especially relevant in this election year (CA Prop 8).
You really have to hold it together to get through this book. Though her journey though madness is fascinating, it is hard to keep your negative inner-thoughts at bay. She is a highly successful schizophrenic who makes achievement and life look easy, making me wonder what the hell I am doing!
